We are back on!!!

After a short period of restrictions on community sport, our SCSSRU Girls 10's competition is set to recommence on Wednesday 25th August for a condensed version of the 2021 season. With 32 teams across our three age divisions, this year is by far the biggest in terms of participation that we have seen in the history of schoolgirl rugby on the Sunshine Coast. We are excited to welcome five new schools to the competition in Nambour Christian College, Chancellor State College, Matthew Flinders Anglican College, Victory College and Sunshine Beach SHS. Meanwhile, St John's College continues to lead the way in participation with six teams nominated in 2021 featuring two teams in each age division.

Round 2 will feature some terrific match-ups between some old foes while new rivalries will be forged between others. Above all, we know that games will be played in tremendous spirit and everyone is keen to get back on the field after a successful Round 1 which introduced our brand-new competition format which saw teams play 2 x 20min games each night rather than 1 x 40min fixture. This enables greater variety within our competition and is an exciting initiative that has been well received thus far.
